Delete your ciapp account

You can delete your ciapp account and all its data at any time. There are three ways to do it.

1. In the app

Open ciapp and sign in.
Go to Ustawienia → Konto (Settings → Account).
Select Usuń konto… (Delete account), type USUŃ and confirm.

2. On the web, without the app

Open the account deletion form, sign in with the account you want to delete, type USUŃ and confirm. The form runs on the app's server (Google Firebase) and is in Polish.

3. By e-mail

Can't sign in? Write to radoslawgajewskii@gmail.com from the e-mail address of the account, with the subject "Delete my ciapp account". We delete the account within 30 days and confirm it in our reply.

What we delete

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. To keep your data, first download a copy in Ustawienia → Kopia danych (Settings → Data copy).

Your account, profile, settings and the chat encryption key stored in your account.
Your events, notes, to-dos and timetables.
Your friendships, friend requests and group memberships.
The content of the messages you sent.
Your list of blocked people, blocks set against you, and the reports you sent or that are about you.
Your phones' push notification registrations.

What stays

In conversations, an empty "message deleted" marker stays where your messages were, without the content. A conversation with nobody left in it is deleted completely.
Another admin or member takes over the groups you created; a group with no other members is deleted.
Events and notes that other people shared with you stay with their owners.

A deleted account cannot be restored, because we make no ongoing backups. One exception: we keep data from the previous version of the app (before 27 September 2026) as a safeguard until 31 December 2026 at the latest, and then delete it (details in the privacy policy).
